He is best known for his funny gameplay videos about popular games like GTA 5, Call of Duty, Fortnite, and more. He has three youtube channels, the ”Mini Ladd” channel has 5.0 Million subscribers, ”Craig Thompson” has 1.1 Million subscribers and Mini Ladd Vault has over 180k subscribers.
Personal Life
Mini Ladd is half-English and half-Northern Irish was born on 07 January 1995 and his birthplace is Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
He did his schooling at Foyle College Senior School, Northern Ireland, and later moved to Los Angeles for further studies.
After that, he dropped out of university to pursue a YouTube career.
At the age of 8, he became one of the youngest people in the world to go skydiving at that time.
In August 2017, Mini Ladd began dating Twitch streamer, Suni Dey but later in January 2020, Thompson announced on social media that they were no longer together.
Career
On May 12, 2011, Craig started his youtube channel and started uploading multiplayer gameplay videos mainly about the ”Call of Duty” commentaries.
One of his most popular videos is ”TRY NOT TO LAUGH CHALLENGE – OFFENSIVE MEME COMPILATION!”, which was uploaded on Feb 9, 2017, and has received more than 12 million views.
In 2018, he launched his second channel, “Craig Thompson”, which focuses on vlogs and personal content.
Thompson partnered with the ”Thirst Project” and raised over $150,000 for relief.
In 2019, he launched his third YouTube channel, “Mini Ladd Vault”, wherein he uploads old videos of his Mini Ladd channel which were previously demonetized or taken down.
Due to his ongoing efforts for the organization, the Thirst Project named Craig as one of their Board Members and awarded him with the “Cameron Boyce Pioneering Spirit Award” in October 2019.
Due to his philanthropic efforts and growing celebrity, the City of Derry R.F.C and his local rugby team renamed their stadium the “Craig Thompson Stadium” in his honor.
Mini Ladd was named by the Sunday Times as one of Britain’s top 100 influencers, behind KSI and PewDiePie in September 2019.
Thompson won the eSports Content Creator of the Year award on November 16, 2019.
